RINGING of REVOLUTION - Songs of, about and influenced by PHIL OCHS
Hosted by KIRK KELLY
Wednesday, AUGUST 18th at 8:00 p.m. at the C-NOTE, 157 Avenue C (at E.10th
St.)in New York City $6 at door - proceeds benefit the IWW/IU 660 Starbucks
Union organizing campaign (vist www.starbucksunion.org for details)

duet of John on 5-string banjo/voice with Laurie on
electric bass guitar has now become something of a staple
at New York labor and anti-war rallies. Together, They
bring new life to a collection of older music and they just
love Phil Ochs.

MIKE RIMBAUD - Another Antifolk standard bearer
Mike has recorded for indie labels in the U.S. and Europe
and has performed on three continents. Last year his cover
of Springsteen's "Atlantic City" was featured on the
LIGHT of DAY compilation which also featured the likes
of Elvis Costello and Billy Bragg.

OSEI ESSED plays an angular country blues, equal parts
Mississippi John Hurt and the Minutemen's D.Boon. A
painstaking lyricist, his songs offer a chopped modernist

also fronts New York "whiskey driven swamp rattle" five
piece THE WOES and is one of the Antifolk scene's rising
new stars.

TOM CLARK - Take your favorite, fastest rock-a-billy
song, add some of the best songwriting to come out of the
Lower East Side since the World Famous Blue Jays, then
inject it with a gallon of caffeine. That's Tom Clark.
Except when he plays those beautiful ballads that got him
a recent live session on Vin Skelsa's IDIOT'S DELIGHT
and opening slots for people like Patti Smith and Marshal
Crenshaw, among others. His "Cross Eyed and Bow
Legged" features several Lenny Kaye produced tracks.

PADDY on the RAILWAY - In addition to his solo set,
host KIRK KELLY (click here

cut and paste to check out the recent VILLAGE VOICE
feature by Labor writer Tom Robbins) performs with Bill
Bowen on bass in this Post Punk - Irish Rebel - Union
Anthem folk duo. Kelly was also featured on the LIGHT
of DAY cd.

MISSIONCREEP - Another reason why this show is the
coolest PHIL OCHS tribute ever. MISSIONCREEP lays
vintage PHIL audio clips over some kickin' scratchin' and
