Unions are historically the best method of defence the
working class has used against capitalism. For many
years in Quebec, working conditions have deteriorated.
Facing the remodeling of entire companies,
subcontracting and restrictive labor laws; it is only
normal that a more combative type of unionism is
manifesting itself, even if this is only on some
occasions and that we are still very far from a
generalised workers movement that could make the
bosses take steps backwards.

Comme learn about the experiences of young workers who
recently unionised their workplace (Décarie et
Complices) and those of employee of the Old Port who
was locked-out this summer. Also, there will be talks
from members of Groupe anarchiste Bęte Noire on 'the
workplace today' and 'solidarity with labor struggles'
with open debates on every theme.
