State of the Nation Address: Dissent of the People and the Workingclass
QUEZON CITY - As the President reported her annual State of the Nation Address
fooling the people with another round of lies and hypocrisy last 28th of July
of this year, the militants staged their own true State of the Nation Address
at the very same day on the streets outside the House of Congress where the
President delivers her speech.
Joined by about a number of 50,000 grass roots from various communities to local
unions from the factories under the banner of PM, SANLAKAS, KPD, BISIG, FDC, BAYAN,
KMU, BMP and others; the dissedents exposed the anti-people, anti-poor, anti-workers,
anti-women and anti-students policies of the President since she was installed into power.

The Anarchist bloc were also present at the day of the showdown against the State,
participated by EARTH FIRST!-Manila, FOOD-NOT-BOMBS,Local Anarchist Network (LAN)
and other local autonomous collectives and individuals from Metro Manila to other
parts of Luzon. The bloc were calling against the World Trade Organization (WTO)
new round of meeting in Mexico by staging a series of direct action protests, sabotages
and monkey wrenchings to stop the new round of meeting.
