The first planning meeting for a co-ordinated anarchist
presence for the 27th September anti-war march was
held tonight (the 12th of August). It was positive
and the following was agreed:
1) A "Freedom" leaflet would be produced for the march.
It will be based on previous articles from Freedom,
include a plug for the paper and the bookshop as
well as listing websites for anarchist groups. The
plan is to get 20,000 done (depending on getting
firm commitments for handing it out!). Plus advert
for the next meeting of the "Anarchist Discussion
Group"

2) A "special" of Freedom itself, with articles on
the current situation at home (the lies coming home
to roost, so to speak), one on "anarchism and war"
plus "what is anarchism?" intro. Plus the usual stuff.

3) Having a stall and (perhaps) a platform where the
march ends (namely Traf. Square).

The next meeting will be held at 2pm, Saturday the 13th
of September. The final content of the leaflet and
which articles to submit to freedom will be discussed.
Plus organising events on the day.
