The Congress was excellently organized at the "Universidad de
Derecho" by the Local Federation of the CNT-AIT in Granada the 4th,
5th and 6th of December with a presence of Sections and Friends
from: SF (Britain), CNTF (France), AIT-Portugal, CNTE (Spain), NSF
(Norway), FAU (Germany), Direct (Switzerland) USI (Italia), Priama
Akcia (Slovakia), FAG (Chech Rep.), KRAS (Russia), FORA (Argentine),
COB (Brazil) and Amigos de la AIT (Colombia).

Greetings were received from the APFUTU (Pakistan), the IFA, the WSA
(USA), the Network (Minnesota- USA), the Anarchist Group of Amsterdam
(Holland), Educat (Germany) and the Germinal group (Chile). The
observers were from the ASI (Serbia), Anti-Authoritarian Movement
(Greece), Anarcho-syndicalist front (Croatia), Union of
self-Organized workers (Slovenia) and a large number of observers
from unions of the Spanish CNT-AIT.

The slogan of the Congress was "No War between People - No Peace
between Classes" and the delegates discussed actions against the
capitalist wars (Iraq, Chechnya, Colombia etc.), made an internal
decision of coordination, and a special statement against the war in
Colombia. The Congress also decided that the IWA shall have
coordinated actions against the Temporary Work Agencies and
casualisation from the week 15 in April to the First of May 2005.

As usual in Congresses, a lot of the debates were about internal
questions and matters. The Congress rejected proposals to change or
modify the Principles and Statutes, it decided to have a theoretical
and practical magazine and a web-magazine, and decisions were made
about the various "Questions" (FAU, USI and RSU, US-question), to
mention some issues.

The International Workers Association (IWA) will defend itself and
the anarchosyndicalism against attempts of forming parallel
structures/ parallel international and organizations incorrectly
using the initials AIT-IWA, and the International will intensify its
work to spread the IWA and the anarchosyndicalism to new countries.
The Congress accepted the Anarcho-Syndicalist Initiative (Serbia) as
a new Section and the Anarcho-Syndicalist Initiativ
(Israel/Palestine) as a Friend group of the IWA.

The NSF (Norway) was re-elected as the Section to have the
Secretariat, and the next Congress will be organised by the
Solidarity Federation (SF) in Manchester in December 2006.
