Delegates and observers from anarcho-syndicalist organizations and groups from
18 countries participated in the 22nd Congress of the International Workers'
Association - the anarcho-syndicalist international. It took place in the
Spanish city of Granada under the slogan "No war between peoples - no peace
between classes". Participants decided to strengthen international coordination
in the fight against war, to strengthen the work of international and to
increase actions for the propagation of anarcho-syndicalist views and
experiences. The Anarcho-Syndicalist Initiative from Serbia-Montenegro was
accepted into the association and the status of "Friend of the IWA" was
accorded to the Anarcho-Syndicalist Initiative of Israel-Palestine. The
functions of International Secretariat until the next Congress were entrusted
to the Norwegian federation. The official press release of Congress is expected
shortly.
