Syndication Of A-Infos

What is syndication ?

Think of it as a distributable "What's New" for A-Infos.

What do you mean by distributable ?

You can have A-Infos on your desktop, your web site, some e-mail clients, etc. easily and without being registered to the A-Infos mailing lists.

How can I use it ?

There are 2 ways to get the latest news :

Rich Site Summary (RSS) version 0.9 and 1.0
Javascript technology which allow you to get the first few lines of the last 5 posts on your web site very easily.

Is it available for all the langages supported by A-Infos ?

Yes.

I want it !

RSS : first you need a RSS reader. Check your favorite search engine with those key-words "RSS" and "reader".
You'll find readers for GNU/Linux, Mac OS, Window$, etc.
Then choose the URL to enter in your client (version of RSS and the langage you want) :

Note : you can add RSS to your web pages by using scripting technologies like Perl, PHP, etc.

JavaScript : This technology is especialy designed for easy inclusion in HTML pages.
It will draw a table. The width is fixed to 200 pixels as showed in the example. You can change the border color and the background color to fit your web design.
Copy this line to the place you want in your HTML page :

all = All languages
ca = Castellano
ct = Català
de = Deutsch

misc = Nederlands

YYYYYY to select border color and ZZZZZZ to select background color.
The color value may either be a hexadecimal number or one of the following sixteen color names. The color names are case-insensitive.

Color names and sRGB values

	White = "FFFFFF"		Yellow = "FFFF00"

	Fuchsia = "FF00FF"		Aqua = "00FFFF"

Thus, the color values "800080" and "Purple" both refer to the color purple.
