One man died after clashes broke out between anarchists, communists and riot police while
Greek Parliament pushed through a key austerity vote. ---- Edit: according to hospital
officials, the man who died was not hit by a stone. He did die from a heart attack, as we
initially reported. ---- As Parliament prepared for a crucial vote on additional austerity
measures — including the most drastic cuts and reforms so far — renewed violence broke
out on the streets of Athens. ...

Last week one of our own, Scott Rittenhouse, passed away in his sleep. As news began to
travel among revolutionaries of all stripes, many of us began to see social media light up
around us with memories of him. Scott was an interesting soul, pugnacious at times, always
reliable, and always willing to talk things through and express his opinions. He was a
one-man pamphlet-making, sticker-designing, distribution point and anarchists all over the
world—particularly those with a pen...

Workfare picket Poundland demonstrations London Kilburn ---- As part of the Solidarity
Federation's ongoing campaign targeting employers who use workfare, members of North
London SF today converged on Kilburn High Road. ---- Our first target was Poundland, a
campany which SolFed has picked as a national target. We engaged in a small but vocal
picket, speaking to members of the public and handing out hundreds of leaflets. Passers-by
were rightfully outraged by Poundland's use of unpaid ...

Frack Off! Anti-fracking campaigners at Stormont ---- Tyler McNally updates the Leveller
on the campaign against fracking in the north. ---- In Ireland, we are familiar with
attempts by Companies to exploit natural resources at the expense of both people and
planet, with the issue of lignite mining in the North and the infamous struggle against
Shell in Rossport being very good examples. Now however, we face a new and potentially
more dangerous threat in the form of hydraulic fracturin...

Political ecology: No social struggles without ecology ---- A Saint-Imier, the commission

transversality of social and ecological struggles and the awakening of political
consciousness and ecological among libertarians. ---- What response to the crisis of

Introduction ---- If a good number of individuals agree or think that the current system
is not or is no longer suited to our needs, it is a factor in environmental destruction,
it induces the injustice or inhumanity, few of them are seriously considering and
practically a substantive change in society. ---- The reasons are multiple. ---- The most
common, in their minds, is that there is no other way to function socially. When an
alternative is considered, it rarely exceeds more distri...
