SOLIDARITE AVEC WERNER BRAEUNER : DEUX ANS APRES, LA REPRESSION CONTINUE 
 
 
Il y a deux ans, une dizaine de personnes avaient occupé le centre de 
documentation de l'ambassade d'Allemagne en solidarité avec Werner 
Braeuner, un chômeur allemand incarcéré pour le meurtre de son directeur 
d'ANPE. Cette action avait déjà donné lieu à l'époque à une mobilisation 
policière totalement démesurée : Renseignements Généraux déplacés en 
surnombre avant même que l'action...

In advanced capitalist societies and increasingly in 
Third World countries, educational credentials are an 
important part of the class system. The late Pierre 
Bourdieu did studies that show how in France the 
middle class invests heavily in education to reproduce 
its class position for its children. Bourdieu calls 
this an investment in 'cultural capital' and his books 
show how the system pretends to offer equal 
opportunity, but in practice is heavily biased...

25.Aug.03 - Sunday afternoon some 60 activists have dismantled the fence 
around a center for minor unaccompanied asylum seekers in Dutch province of 
Gelderland. The center is one of two locations where the Netherlands are trying 
out a new approach towards young asylum seekers. The centers are supposed to 
provide 'simple but humane spaces' wherein the asylum seekers can are 'prepared
