McDonald's Golden Arches, if not beginning to crumble, are beginning to look
 distinctly shaky. Chairman and chief executive, Jack Greenberg, walked away
 from the burger giant after 21 years service at the end of last year--this
 despite an earlier company request to remain at the helm until 2005.
 McDonald's stock had fallen to one third of its value since Greenberg was
 appointed CEO in 1998, with shares plunging to a seven year low last Autumn.

Ayer ante la visita sorpresa y superconstructiva de nuestro presi nos 
 congregamos un grupo de personas para protestar contra su política, 
 y su forma de "no gestionar" esta crisis ( DERECHO DE TODO

 Bonjour,
 La période des "fêtes" a un peu ralenti l'activité du collectif de
 solidarité, mais nous reprenons notre rythme  désormais "habituel"
 (hélas!).
 Donc, mercredi soir à 19 heures au CICP, réunion du collectif ,
 vendredi matin à 7 h 30 et lundi soir à 18 h 30, RV d'action devant le
 siège d'Arcade.

Montreal, January 8th  2003 -- Jaggi Singh, a Montreal based activist and
 organizer, was kidnapped today in Jerusalem by a group of undercover
 Israeli police officers. He was on his way to visit a friend, and was
 arrested as he arrived at his friend's apartment. Jaggi traveled to Israel
 and the Occupied Territories on the invitation of the International
 Solidarity Movement (ISM). The ISM is a Palestinian-led movement which

 wearing plain clothes today when he arrived for a pre-arranged visit
