(en) Brazil, UNIPA: Construction of a UNIPA Support and Propaganda Committee in Pernambuco (ca, de, it, pt, tr)[machine translation]

Date Tue, 31 Jan 2023 09:32:30 +0200

From Pernambuco we announced the intention to build a Support and Propaganda Committee of the Popular Anarchist Union - UNIPA. ---- Pernambuco suffers at the hands of political groups that are not committed to the people and the election of Raquel Lyra/PSDB tends to increase this suffering. Having a great tradition of participation in bourgeois and popular politics, it is here that the Peasant Leagues were born, an important instrument of organization and struggle of the landless people in the last century. ---- It is also in this region that the agricultural frontier expanded at the same time that the struggle for land also grew, after all, there is no movement given by the agrarian bourgeoisie that is not accompanied by some type of resistance from the rural people.
Anarchism in Pernambuco
In the last decade, anarchist experiences in Pernambuco walked between confusion, voluntarism and eclecticism. The various experiences of forming autonomous organizations and movements were important because they demonstrated the willingness of those who dared to build popular courses, military in land occupations, against the World Cup works, or even carry out union work. But the trajectory of these experiences unfortunately walked as an auxiliary line of other currents. Not for lack of theory, but for lack of collective theoretical systematization as well as its non-translation into the mass movement. As long as this issue is not resolved, anarchism will not advance in Pernambuco.

We are forming this Support and Propaganda Committee - CAP to help resolve these problems, as well as to add militants and activists who have some agreement with the reading we have done or who want to add with their experiences, collectively militarizing with discipline, theoretical and tactical unity so that in the future we can apply for the construction of a UNIPA center in Pernambuco.
