guaranteed for women and pregnant people, who are running unnecessary risks due 
to the systematic mistreatment to which the health system subjects them before an 
IVE.

The equal access to free abortion proclaimed by the law is belied by the figures, 
which speak for themselves: nationwide, in 2021, only 15.67% of IVEs have been 
performed in public centers. And, both public and private, only 13% of them took 
place in hospitals. The anti-abortion wave supposes, therefore and fundamentally, 
the opposition to abortion for the working class: a story that is not unknown to 
us. The class gap makes what should be a right become a privilege. This is 
related to the situation of general access to healthcare, increasingly 
impoverished, and with the deprivation of so many other rights that are, at least 
theoretically, fundamental: education, housing, sexual freedom...

Health and safety for those who decide on an IVE are not guaranteed in this 
country: let no one tell us otherwise. The decision to abort -for whatever 
reason- cannot be subject to moral fluctuations and the administrative obstacles 
of politicians, doctors or priests.

As Rosa Jiménez sang in the Coplas Retrogradas together with Chicho Sánchez 
Ferlosio, "although many don't care about the war, they become wild when one 
miscarries." It is not only the CyL Board that must come to the fore: the 
autonomous governments of all political signs are portrayed alone.

In view of this, all that remains is the claim and the fight so that this right 
does not remain a dead letter.
