All our most revolutionary wishes for 2023! ---- The illusion of a happy and
infinite capitalist globalization is brutally collapsing before our eyes. The
climate crisis and that of biodiversity place our bourgeoisies before an
unsurpassable challenge: produce less and profit more. The Covid pandemic has
exposed the inanities of the global commodity production chain aggravated by
just-in-time management, from the most sophisticated semiconductors to the most
basic drugs. The war in Ukraine triggered by Russia has generated an increase in
military budgets as far as Switzerland and everywhere they will generate colossal
profits for the few and new cuts in public policies.
Huge speculative bubbles are bursting, or will soon burst. Boosted by free
credits and by an unprecedented monopolization of wealth by the bourgeoisie, many
sectors are threatened, from real estate in China to the art market and virtual
currency platforms. It is the small savings of millions of modest families that
are in danger. And a few dozen over-indebted states on the verge of bankruptcy.
Inflation gallops again around the planet, eating away at the purchasing power of
employees in so-called rich or so-called poor countries. This inflationary wave
contradicts the ultra-liberal promises of the virtues of the market. Small bosses
who cry over their electricity bill should think about it... but in the meantime,
it's still their employees who will foot the bill. As for the local authorities,
forced to contract with "phony" distributors, they only have their eyes left to
cry. Elected officials on both the right and the left who supported the scrapping
of EDF will have to explain themselves to their voters when it comes to cutting
off the heating in schools.
Capitalism is naked but it is not on the ground.
Each national bourgeoisie will fight to preserve its place in the world market:
fiscal and social dumping, customs barriers and subsidies to strategic companies,
direct military escalations between great powers, increased interventionism
against the weakest countries with coveted resources .
Social dumping in France is concentrated in the desire to make us work more
(delayed pensions) and in the reform of unemployment benefits to force us to
accept any job under any conditions. Suffice to say that to let go of Macron and
the bosses, our only weapon will be a massive and renewable general strike during
which we will also have to ask the question of the means of restoring public
services and socialization, without compensation to the wealthy shareholders. ,
major means of production. And we will not go back to work without having tried
to push the revolutionary logic of a general strike to the end: the expropriation
of the capitalists and the revival of the necessary productions in a
self-management framework.
No need to call us dreamers and dreamers because the situation offers no other
way out. If we lost the battle for pensions the capitalists would put us
underground for a few decades, with the far right in ambush. We need to awaken
the trade unionism of struggle among our colleagues, to breathe new life and
desire into collective action against the destruction of the planet and against
all forms of discrimination.
If rage prevails over discouragement, 2023 will be a beautiful and good year!
