(en) Brazil, Luta FOB: RECC Primer | Building the Classist and Combative Student Movement (ca, de, it, pt, tr)[machine translation]

Date Sat, 21 Jan 2023 09:58:27 +0200

This booklet is not a magical or finished solution for militant political training. Here, comrades will find some information about the history of the RECC (Class and Combative Student Network), grassroots work methods, problem solving and prevention, ways to organize resistance and struggle, among others. ---- Militant political training is a permanent activity. Nobody is born a trained militant and you never reach a finished stage, there is always something to learn. A militant with greater mastery and clarity of the program, organization and militant ethics is formed within the organization and through struggle experiences. ---- Sharing knowledge is very important in a horizontal and federalist organization, as power and decisions come from the base and not from enlightened leaders. Therefore, this booklet is a tool that seeks to include all affiliates in their diversities and difficulties, leveling the knowledge and practices to help the work of organization and collective struggle of students for their rights.

This booklet is aimed mainly at students who are starting their militancy in the classist and combative student movement. Here we start from the principle that "where there is oppression, there is also resistance". The revolutionary militant is always opposed to real oppression, he does not act for convenience or ease. History demonstrates that collective struggle in the most difficult contexts was essential for the conquest of rights.

The militant, aware of his historic and strategic mission, must never admit that the struggle is impossible. He must not intend to fight alone, organized collectively it is possible to develop, with patience and persistence, great movements.

Individual indignation is fundamental, but it will only have real contestation force if it is organized collectively; and its strength will be all the greater when it is transformed into mass organization and action. Over time, isolation only leads to frustration, accommodation and fear, and the system wins.

Unfortunately, many initiatives by autonomous and combative groups in Brazil are merely local, they do not undertake the task of nationalization or local massification, they interpret direct action as mere "one-off violence", die due to internal disintegration without leaving great legacies or appear only in moments of rising struggles, always reactive to the conjuncture, but without determining it by their creative action.

This booklet serves to inspire everyone who has decided to break with apathy and limited forms of resistance and move towards revolutionary action and organization of the student masses throughout Brazil.

Good reading!
