speeches in which attempts were made to outline the current legal situation, the 
intentions of the Darex company and the lack of reaction of the city authorities 
to the attempt to extort a plot belonging to the state treasury. President 
Jaskowiak is overtaking his predecessor Ryszard Grobelny in submission to 
business. Currently, as a result of the passivity of the Poznan authorities, the 
city may lose a public property worth over PLN 7 million.

Then, Agnieszka, a trade unionist and leader of the 2019 teachers' strike in 
Poznan, took the floor. She told the gathered people that it was at Rozbracie 
that many groups and marginalized people could count on help. She also emphasized 
the role of Rozbrat in organizing protesting teachers and teachers and supporting 
feminist campaigns such as Manifa and Black Protest.

The representative of the Przychodnia squat from Warsaw emphasized the importance 
of joint struggle for spaces for social and political activities, which set the 
tone for many protests and actions. In turn, the anarchists from Belarus who 
attended the demonstration appreciated that it was Rozbrat where they could count 
on getting help after forced migration resulting from the repressions inflicted 
by the home regime of Lukashenka. Also, young people associated with the Employee 
Initiative emphasized that it was thanks to the meetings at Rozbrat that they 
could engage in trade union activities and fight for their rights and the rights 
of exploited workers.

The protest moved along Pulaskiego Street, and then headed to Aleje 
Wielkopolskie. The following slogans were shouted to the rhythm of the music 
played by Samba Halastra: "Rozbrat stays", "We are, we act, we will not give up 
Rozbrat", "Tenants are not goods". At the height of the viaduct, the so-called 
pitted, a group of people hung a banner with the slogan "Rozbrat stays. Poznan is 
a city without eviction ". Heading to the Wodziczki Park, they shouted "Save the 
green wedge, we won't leave this land". The stopping point in the Park is located 
in the vicinity of newly built buildings, which are the result of the gradual 
development of a wedge of greenery, the limitation of the park area and the lack 
of perspective on the part of the city authorities. Climate changes should 
encourage the protection of green areas, while the authorities of Poznan allow 
for their increasingly stronger reduction, ignoring the losses incurred by all 
city residents. The few who can afford a flat in new blocks live in an area 
fenced off and protected by CCTV monitoring, apparently believing that the 
problems of a concrete city do not concern them.

The manifestation continued through the park to a picturesque path that local 
residents call the Passage to Narnia. Here you could hear the touching voice of a 
representative of the young generation, assuring him that he wants to protect 
this place from further development. It is worth noting that the residents have 
already organized cleaning campaigns for the park several times and are strongly 
committed to its protection. Speaking on behalf of the Extinction Rebellion 
group, she emphasized the fighting community that links its organization with 
Rozbrat, despite the differences in the approach of both groups to certain issues 
or methods of operation. Fighting for the protection of nature, greenery, 
resistance to concreteosis and climate change, which the government ignores. 
Following the park alleys, the demonstrators could see another banner hung on the 
PST viaduct with the slogan "Rozbrat stays. Poznan without concrete ".

On reaching the area of the Bagdanka Free City Garden (WOMB), you could hear a 
short history of this place. The garden was established two years ago, after the 
eviction of the former allotment owners, which took place due to Darex, which 
threatened them with fines for non-contractual use of the company's alleged 
property. In fact, the area of the former ROD Bogdanka is another plot of land 
taken over as a result of wild re-privatization and in suspicious circumstances, 
which was due to the inertia of the plot management. Not agreeing to the fact 
that another green area would be taken over and most likely sold, activists from 
Rozbrat decided to occupy it. In this way, an open community garden was created - 
it enables gardening and ecological farming. There were also meetings, lectures, 
workshops and even concerts. WOMB also serves as a place to rest for residents. 
It is also used by refugees from Ukraine who spoke out in protest, supporting 
Rozbrat and WOMB. They emphasized how much this place means to them, in Ukraine 
they had to leave their gardens, here they can find respite and are greeted with 
open arms.

The demonstration headed back to Pulaskiego Street, near Rozbrat. Chanting 
slogans all the time, people stopped to listen to the last speeches. The 
representative of Rozbrat recalled how important this place was for building the 
tenant movement in Poznan. It was in Rozbrat where the Wielkopolska Association 
of Tenants was established. It was here that the protest and actions against the 
cleaners of tenement houses were prepared. It is in Rozbrut where tenants are 
supported in the event of wild evictions and violation of their rights.

The culmination of the protest was throwing a banner from the roof of a nearby 
building with the slogan "Rozbrat stays. Poznan without exploitation ". On the 
roof, in the clouds of colorful smoke and flares, a concert of Riot Squad took 
place, which performed the piece "Rozbrat stays". This was the slogan that ended 
today's protest and may it sound strong enough for representatives of all forces 
that are trying to destroy this place - There is no Poznan without Rozbrat!
