(en) France, Monde Libertaire - Corinne ROUSSEAU has left us (ca, de, fr, it, pt, tr)[machine translation]

We learned with great sadness of the death of our comrade Corinne Rousseau, which occurred following a bad fall. ---- Corinne was an extraordinary activist, who for many years gave the best of herself within the works of the Anarchist Federation. ---- Many of us remember her dynamism, her commitment and her constant good humor. She leaves to the Anarchist Federation these few memories, necessarily incomplete, which will keep her in our hearts. ---- Corinne and the Fresnes-Antony group ---- Corinne had joined the Fresnes-Antony group of the Anarchist Federation when she was a high school student in Antony. Her mother was so opposed to her joining the FA that she came, determined to get her daughter back one evening, during one of our weekly group meetings at the MJC in Fresnes.

Corinne did not give in and always stayed by the group's side. She showed dynamism in relative discretion and always showed herself willing to be hard-working. The group then relied on a very natural force of solid commitment that it would be time to find again.

Happiness is in the moments, in times when we draw individuals into a common momentum in our shared struggle.

Corinne and the federal printing press

We do not forget her involvement as a permanent employee at the Athénée printing press with Roland.

Meeting deadlines and overcoming the failures of this or that machine was no easy task. Our two permanent staff did not count their time and often, in the evening, when it was time to take stock of the next day's schedule, the repairs to be done, we found them sparkling with energy after having overcome all the hazards of the day, their hands in the grease. Tired, but determined above all. Corinne was never short of ideas. With her, we were not at risk of sinking into defeatism. Always radiant with optimism, she radiated the team with her cheerfulness and efficiency.

Finally, the organization decided to separate from the printing press at the end of the 80s. It was heartbreaking for the whole team and a difficult time for Corinne.

Corinne at the newspaper and at the theater!

We also remember Corinne, as much in the meetings, as in the demonstrations (and there were some!) during which, with others, she distributed the Monde libertaire. But also as a permanent employee, both for Le Monde libertaire and at our printing house, L'Athénée. She was there when the articles that Hélène wrote or formatted for the Pierre Besnard group were submitted, in preparation for the book Mai 68 par eux-même, published by Éditions du Monde libertaire in January 1989.

Corinne was also active at the TLP, Théâtre libertaire de Paris, with Hervé Trinquier where she was the cashier: this was the time when the Galas in support of Radio libertaire and the Fédération anarchiste were frequent and allowed us to discover French song artists or meet better-known ones. After 1992, she held jobs as a cashier in various theaters depending on the needs.

Corinne, rather discreet, was very present and efficient. There were few women in the libertarian movement and there are still few, between 25 and 30%: of course, we can remember loudmouths more easily, but Corinne didn't get noticed that way, she did! And it showed!

Yes Corinne did, and it showed!
