Tradition of the Catholic Faith; preserve and promote the traditional 
liturgy; encourage the study and theological and cultural in-depth 
analysis of the immense religious, historical and artistic heritage of 
Christianity".

For the record, one of the major frictions between Viganò and Pope 
Francis dates back to 2018 when the bishop published a dossier in some 
Italian press outlets in which he wrote that the leaders of the Catholic 
Church, including Pope Francis, had been aware of the sexual abuse for 
years of American Cardinal Theodore Edgar McCarrick and who covered it 
for a long time, before it was finally suspended. Indeed, he makes an 
even clearer accusation against the Pope, that of having canceled the 
restrictions that Pope Benedict XVI had imposed on the pedophile 
cardinal, making him "his trusted advisor".

The affair brings to light the indelible consequences of the pedophilia 
affair in the Catholic world, but above all a malaise present in 
Catholic circles due to certain "openings" of the Pope, which has not 
diminished at all following the constant fundamentalist statements on 
fagotism, against abortion and contraception, the end of life, gender 
theory, etc.

In a desperate attempt to get out of the black hole, in May the CEI 
entrusted the Commission on pedophilia to the psychologist Chiara 
Griffini, modifying its statute which provided for the presidency to a 
bishop. Griffini should "instruct" the bishops to address the problem of

against the differentiated autonomy which would split Italy and

southern regions. An outcry from government representatives responded to 
the CEI, while Meloni, rather than entering into the merits of the 
criticisms he attacked the Vatican as a non-democratic state that cannot

to life and who build the social and political conditions because this 
law is finally cancelled."

The hot topic of abortion also took center stage at the G7 in Puglia on 
13-15 June: the Italian government in fact went out of its way to 
prevent any reference to abortion from being included in the final 
declaration, and was satisfied. On the other hand, with a guest of honor

The anti-abortion crusade is bastardized and goes straight to the heart
