The meeting of the Relations Committee of the International of Anarchist 
Federations (CRIFA) on February 4-5, 2023 held in Livorno expresses its 
solidarity with the APO (Anarchist Political Organization - Greece) and with the 
comrades of the Thessaloniki squat New World who was evicted last November. In 
Greece, the escalation of state terrorism has included a series of processes: the 
rise of fascism/Nazism, concentration camps for immigrants and their murder at 
the borders, the total devaluation of workers' lives, the dismantling of the 
public health, the laws that restrict demonstrations and strikes, the control of 
life in universities, and much more. At the forefront of the repressive action of 
the State is also the attack on the squatted spaces and the anarchist movement. 
The current government continues and improves the work of all the previous ones 
to attack all the squatted spaces. When he realized that the one-attack strategy 
produced much more resistance than fear, he abandoned this plan, changed the head 
of the Ministry of Repression, and launched gradual raids across the country. 
Part of this attack was the eviction of the "Mundo Nuevo" squat in the early 
hours of Monday, November 28, a few days after the 7th anniversary of its 
creation and also a few days before the anniversary of the December 6 revolt. The 
state attacks the squatters because they are structures of struggle that actively 
and dynamically support social and class resistance, form consciences, give space 
and a way for sectors of youth and other social groups to express themselves, 
socialize, and fight. They are a huge political problem for any government, an 
open wound to the institution of property on which the State and the current 
capitalist world are based.

The power of the anarchist movement and squatting resides in what has already 
been created and has made its way into the vast river of raging freedom that we 
call Anarchy. Young and old comrades continue the fight without ceasing and that 
is what, without a doubt, we will continue to do. What was sown for so many years 
in Mundo Nuevo has already taken root. All the demonstrations say it, for Pavlos 
Fissas and Alexis, for the revolt of November 17 and for women's liberation, for 
the workers' strikes, for the student struggle. State leaders and government 
apologists know all these things very well, they know that it is the radical and 
anarchist movement and the grassroots resistance that have placed serious 
obstacles in the process of destroying and plundering our lives, as no other has 
done. political party, no opposition, official or otherwise. We call on the 
Federations to express their solidarity and to take initiatives around the date 
of April 1, when there will be a demonstration in solidarity with Mundo Nuevo and 
in defense of the squatting.
