(en) Brazil, CAB: 8M: Smash fascism, racism, patriarchy and capitalism! (ca, de, it, pt, tr)[machine translation]

Another year goes by and there is nothing to celebrate on March 8th. We, women of
the Brazilian Anarchist Coordination (CAB), continue in the trenches of the
social struggle, facing fascist threats, everyday machismo and the denial of the
most basic rights for a dignified life. The defeat of the fascist Jair Bolsonaro
at the polls is far from being enough to change the 500-year-old reality that
capitalism, colonialism and patriarchy have imposed on our territories. ---- We
were on the streets, building the front line of the anti-fascist fight, even
before #EleNão in 2018. Many of us had to move away from family members,
companions and leisure spaces because of our convictions. We faced threats,
violence and were labeled crazy, not to mention all the losses we suffered at the
hands of the genocidal Bolsonaro, especially during the pandemic. Now, some
sectors of the left are asking us to "calm down" and to be "peaceful" in our
demonstrations.
Our position, as CAB women, is irreducible: we will continue to fight fascism by
all possible means, and we will defend ourselves as necessary. Nor will we go
back one centimeter in the fight for our rights or in our methods to conquer them:
We want legal abortion for all people with a uterus, free and safe, through the SUS.
We want trans and transvestite women to have a long life and their rights
assured, to occupy the benches of schools and universities and to have access to
stable jobs, with decent wages and working conditions.
We want an end to the genocide of black and poor people, the war on drugs and
mass incarceration. We want to destroy racism and white supremacy. We want a
strong and self-organized black people. We want Black women free from domestic
and sexual violence, free from objectification and systemic loneliness.
We want the repeal of the labor and social security reform, because we do not
accept working until we die, with terrible wages and without basic rights.
We want accessible daycare centers, sex education in schools, the repeal of the
New Secondary School and vacancies for all in Public Universities, which must
remain free, guarantee permanence policies and develop research at the service of
our people.
We want an end to mining and the capitalist exploitation of land and territories,
with the demarcation of indigenous and quilombola lands, and the expropriation of
large estates, putting land in the hands of those who live and work in it.
We want free, quality public transport controlled by the people. We want a
dignified life and we are going to conquer it, regardless of who is in government.
We are inspired by the struggle of women around the world!
From the Zapatistas retaking their territories in southern Mexico, to Kurdish
women facing imperialism and earthquakes in Rojava. From Spain's Mujeres Libres,
who fought Franco's fascist army, Stalinist betrayals and machismo in the
anarchist ranks itself, to our sisters across Latin America, who occupy buildings
and paint the streets green in the fight for free abortion , safe and free and
legal. Not forgetting every black mother who fights for justice on the periphery
and every trans and transvestite person fighting not to become a statistic.
Our way out to crush fascism, guarantee rights and make the struggle of each
comrade who is with us worth it is only one: popular organization. We need to be
together in rural, urban and forest movements, in housing, feminist and
anti-racist movements. We need to occupy unions, student unions and neighborhood
associations.
We need combative, autonomous and class-independent movements, without relying on
parties, professional politicians or corporations to achieve victories. As
libertarian women, we need to build the Anarchist Organization to politically
dispute these spaces, fight against the patriarchy that is expressed within the
movements themselves and radicalize them, so that they are the seeds of the new
world.
Finally, our response to this system of death continues to be to plant our feet
more and more in the territories and social spaces of the oppressed classes. It
means taking responsibility for our liberation, for building and fighting for
guidelines that expand our rights. Our path is self-organization,
shoulder-to-shoulder, and the rebellion of those who already seek today to build
a new world with socialism and freedom, and, therefore, a necessarily feminist,
anti-racist and anti-capitalist world.
