(en) France, France, UCL - Pensions, On strike renewable from January 31! (ca, de, it, fr, pt, tr)[machine translation]

We have to win... ---- The current attack of the capitalists against our camp is
unheard of violence. Not content with wanting to impose on us a reform of social
regression attacking in the first place women and precarious workers, now the
government is talking about attacking the right to strike, and the right is
proposing an amendment aimed at reversing the 35h. ---- We have no other possible
outcome than victory: if we lost the battle for pensions, the capitalists would
feel their wings growing to continue their offensive against our rights, not to
mention the far right that awaits in ambush. The fight against this reform is
today a historic requirement for our class.
We can win.
The proof, we won against the last pension reform, thanks to the big strike which
started on December 5, 2019. Remember that this victory is not due to the
pandemic: other bills, such as the law of research programming (LPR), are passed
during the confinements. The 2019 reform project has not been "paused" as
announced at the time, it has definitely disappeared: there is no longer any
question of "point pensions" in the current reform. It was therefore the
long-lasting strike of 2019-2020 that defeated the previous pension reform
project. And nothing prevents us from doing it again! All the conditions are met.
No one wants this unjust and useless reform: 80% of the population is against it,
and this score rises to 93% among active men and women. The first day of national
mobilization, on January 19, confirmed the power of this opposition with a
well-attended strike and massive demonstrations bringing together nearly two
million people in the streets.
We will win!
The next national deadline is January 31. This leaves us a few days to make this
date an even greater success than the 19th, and, given the scale of the attack we
are facing, to also and above all make it the starting point for a strike.
renewable which is not limited, as in 2019-2020, to one or two sectors considered
blocking, but which demonstrates its strength by rapidly extending to all
sectors. The first confinement clearly demonstrated that many sectors, starting
with the most feminized and most precarious (supermarkets, care, parcel delivery,
national education, security, maintenance, etc.) are blocking in the same way as
public transport. common or refineries. No question therefore of striking by proxy.
From now on, each and every one of us must become a strike activist.
By working all together, at the base, in our clubs, our GAs, and our
neighborhoods, to build a general strike that can be extended from January 31, we
can not only win against this reform, but also obtain concrete progress.
"February will not take place!»
The starting point is given: it is January 31. The point of arrival, it is now up
to the AGs of strikers to decide. The withdrawal of the reform? Retirement at 60
years ? the 32-hour week? a substantial rise in the minimum wage? a sixth week of
paid vacation? equal pay for men and women? a salary for students? resources for
public services? all at the same time...?
And why not resume work only after having really pushed the revolutionary logic
of a general strike to the end, with the expropriation of the capitalists and the
socialization of the major means of production, to restart, in self-management
and up to the challenge climatic conditions, only the productions collectively
deemed necessary.
