(en) Argentina, Roja y Negra OPA: 20 YEARS OF THE AVELLANEDA MASSACRE - 20 YEARS OF STRUGGLE - *Dario Santillan and Maximiliano Kosteki Present!!* (ca, de, it, fr, pt, tr)[machine translation]

Date Sat, 2 Jul 2022 09:00:02 +0300

In the year 2002, in the midst of a social and political crisis, the coordination of the movements of unemployed workers grew and developed, the factories recovered by their workers and the multiple experiences of struggle and organization that had been woven since the 90s and during the outbreak of the 2001. ---- In this context, on June 26, 2002, the Argentine state repressed a piquetero march and assassinated Maximiliano Kosteki and Darío Santillán. The newspaper Clarín wrote that "the crisis caused two new deaths", while the officials repeated: "They killed each other". However, we know that this repression was a message to the entire class, an attempt to discipline us and to attack the power that the organization gives us. The struggles of that 26 are still valid, struggles against hunger, unemployment and for social change that continue and multiply because although governments change, capitalism continues to dominate our territories and our lives.
Today, 20 years after that massacre:
We do not forget that it was the State and its repressive apparatus that murdered our comrades.
We do not forget his murderers and the political leaders who are still unpunished and occupying political positions: Duhalde, Solá, Fernández, Genoud, Vanossi, Atanasoff, Rodríguez and Matzkin.
We claim the piqueteros tool, the direct action of those from below, because as Dario said: "cutting routes is a direct confrontation with power", we are committed to continuing and multiplying that confrontation, in each of our struggles, with mutual support and solidarity.
We keep fighting for that new world that Dario and Maxi dreamed of! For socialism and freedom! Red and Black- Anarchist Political Organization
