(en) France, UCL - Tract March 17, 17 in the street to make employers pay (ca, de, it, fr, pt)[machine translation]

Date Sat, 19 Mar 2022 11:28:57 +0200

Since 2021, the prices of basic necessities have been increasing. Just look at the price of gasoline, but also that of energy and food... Products that we cannot do without. Today refueling costs almost twice as much as in October 2018... when the Yellow Vests movement broke out! ---- The health crisis has triggered an economic crisis that has put tens of thousands of people out of work. And as in all crises, the richest have benefited. The 20 richest people on the planet now have a global fortune of more than 1,928 billion dollars... An increase of more than 62%! At the same time, the minimum wage has only been increased by a few tens of euros... the famous runoff works in reverse!

There is money in the employers' coffers
One wonders where is the money we need to make ends meet, to increase our salaries, to hire employees? The ongoing war in Ukraine has taught us that many Russian bosses had wealth in France and that it was quite possible in a few days to confiscate their wealth. Why not do the same with our French bosses? It is indeed us, the workers who create this wealth and the bosses, the shareholders who monopolize the profits: let us recover our due!

Before everything was privatized...
We were told that the privatization of public services would lower prices, lies! Yet all public policies continue in a logic of privatization of profitable public services by offering them to private shareholders who enrich themselves by breaking our social conquests as well as our (ex) public services SNCF, EDF-GDF, Highway, Post and Telecom, etc.

There was a time when these companies were nationalized, or under state control. We note that when the State manages public services, it ends up giving the most profitable to shareholders without our opinion, whereas without us, there would not be these productions and these services. It is we who work, it is we who should control them: let us recover our public services and manage them democratically without the State at the service of employers.

... Let's revolt!
Like many employees in France since December who are fighting for wages and jobs (Leroy Merlin, SNCF, Tipiak, Air Liquide, etc.), one day you will have to say "No!» collectively, with our colleagues, to go on strike to show the exploiters - and show ourselves - that we are the ones who run this society, from the hospital to the fields to the factory and the shops , that without us they are nothing and that we do not need them.

We will then be able to reflect on a world that thinks first of all of the needs of each and everyone instead of thinking of the benefit of a minority, a society where working time would be distributed, wealth too... In short, a society rid of capitalism, this system that kills human beings and the planet!

The Libertarian Communist Union, March 16, 2022
