(en) Holland, vrije bond: Pink block - demonstration for anarchy (nl)

Date Mon, 14 Jun 2021 09:44:57 +0300

The coming june 12th we take to the streets for anarchy, freedom, solidarity and therefor most definitely queer liberation. We want a world where everyone is truly free, trans, non-binary, queer, or diverse in any other way. Where aggression against queer and trans people is a thing of the past. We demonstrate for liberation from a society that holds up cishetnormativity and fake tolerance, liberation from pinkwashing by corporations, the rainbow capitalism that appropriates our culture and sucks all the life out of it for some profits over our broken backs, and otherwise destroys us through and through, crumbles our rights further and further and is all too eager to lobby for a world where we can't find any existence. Meanwhile upcoming fascism is slamming at the gates to turn back the clock so much harder for everyone who deviates from the cisheteronorm. We fight for a society where everyone is free to feel, identify and love each other as we experience.

Down with the gates and their gatekeepers!
After "losing" the battle against gay rights, the death cult has decided to go all out for the transphobich movement. Trans women of color and queer migrants are as always hit hardest by this. The new wave of anti-trans noise, violence, legislation, lobbying and culture is deeply terrifying and gives way to even more hopelessness that we are all too familiar with even during the best of times under capitalism. The knives of the gatekeepers who get to decide which of us are "trans enough" and which too queer, who guard our often life saving medication that we should be able to get on pure self-determination, are sharpened to an excessive degree, some gates are shut with concrete, it happens in silence, and it feels like there's nothing we can do about it. This is where mutual aid can open our entire world, free from the cis gaze, past the the fear- and fetish suspicion of the system. Our bodies, our hormones, our choices. It's still young, but we will learn, we'll get there. As long as we're together and don't just throw each other under the bus, We will eventually not need any gender clinic. All hormones for everyone.

Queers take to the streets
Queer liberation goes much further and deeper than marriage rights, pronouns, genderneutral bathrooms or other things that may very well have a place in our emancipation, but aren't at the core of it. The bargaining chips that capitalism might sometimes still be willing to give to us, to then proceed and say the fight is over, equal rights have been achieved and it's time for us to be only thankful and assimilate into a "normal" life. While we continue to still at best have a deeply conditional right to existence, in silence, but continue to stand disproportionately close to the cliff of the surplus of late capitalism and fascism, as victims of emotional, physical and sexual violence, poverty, homelessness, bureaucratic entanglement, illness, trauma, depression, suicidal ideations, and so on. Assimilation means be silent, accept our place in capitalism and be a part of its destruction. True freedom, that we need so much, means tearing down everything that does so much harm, for those who aren't queer to take on every uncomfortable conversation and internalized stigma, and at the end of the day, to abolish the state. For the state will always, in economic, cultural or ideological crisis, turn to populism, lobbyism and military authority to sacrifice the most marginalized people first. And queer people will always be among them. It's high time for us to stand up together, embrace each other with our militant love, mutual aid, and unending pure solidarity, which we've shown before, during and since Stonewall so many times, to reach out to intersectionality, reinvent our battle as we've done so many times, until all of us our free.

True freedom starts in the streets.
June 12th, Mercatorplein. Anarchy.

Although the number of infections is going down, corona remains a dangerous disease. Please be careful, don't come if you have symptoms, keep distance and cover up.
