We are happy to announce that after a month or so from the previous issue
of Moscow based anarchist paper, a new one was published in October 2003.
Contents: an editorial on anarchists’ attitude towards the elections and
after it two articles, promoting two tactics (boycott and voting “against
everyone”, which is an opportunity in Russia); an interview with human rights
activist Alexandr Cherkasov about the presidential elections in Chechnya and
whole situation there; 10 years of October 1993 (Yeltsin’s conflict with the
parliament that ended in bloodshed); miners’ riot in Warsaw (translated from
Polish newspapers); Do we need ourselves? – an attempt of critical analysis of
some parts of Russian anarchist movement – by an anarchist from Irkutsk,
Siberia; Mania of getting married – feminist observations about the
“importance” of marriage; promo texts about a new feminist magazine
Wargasm, based in Minsk, Belarus, and Russian-language Indymedia
website; reviews of: latest book by popular Russian writer V.Pelevin,
Terminator-3 movie, a demo cd-r of anarcho-punk band Adamkus Ir Ieva
(Vilnius-Berlin) and several anarchist-re lated zines from Russia,
Ukraine and Belarus.

If you want to order the paper, 1 issue costs 1 USD (postage paid) for
ex-USSR countries and 2 USD for other countries.

Volja’s website is http://volja.nm.ru Those who read Russian should check
it out, because it’s gonna be updated really soon. Others may go to the
international section of the site which contains the basic history of
Volja, translated into several languages (and more to follow).
