It's that time of year again to Transform Columbus Day!
Here's the complete schedule as of 10.03.03

Friday October 3rd
Poetry Slam for Justice
Come armed with your poetry for liberation! Join us in raising our
voices of praise and damnation! A night of slam poetry and music in
support of the Transform Columbus Day efforts will be held at the
Aztlan Theatre at 10th and Santa Fe Dr in Denver from 6:00pm -
9:00pm. The event will be $10 or donation at the door with all
proceeds going to the Transform Columbus Day Legal Defense funds.

Sunday October 5th
Activists in Trouble" Rummage Sale Sunday
On Sunday, Oct 5th at noon, the Dirty Hands Collective is holding a
rummage sale. This is an opportunity for us
to purge ourselves of useless material objects (old
punks cds not played since high school, random
dumpstered objects, clothes in danger of hungry moths,
etc.) as well as a way to raise funds for two causes
we feel are important- the Denver 8 and the Transform
Columbus Day Legal Defense Fund. It will be held at the Lichen House
at 352 E 5th Ave in Durango.

Thursday, October 9th
Confronting Racism conference
The Community Education Project's second annual
conference dedicated to the abolition of
institutionalized white-supremacy, once again just in time for
Columbus Day. Speakers include Joel Olson (CopWatch), Glenn Morris
(AIM) and Ward Churchill (AIM). The conference will be on Thursday,
October 9th, at 6:00pm in the Tivoli Room 320 on that Auraria campus,
Denver.

Friday, October 10th
Western North American Anti-capitalist/
Anti-imperialist consulta for the FTAA
The hemisphere is gearing up to stop the FTAA in Miami, FL, this
November, and as radicals from Western North America converge on
Denver to confront the Columbus Day celebration there will be a
consulta to discuss the mobilization of our area.

Four Directions//All Nations March
A peaceful, traditional celebration of unity where people from all
nations come together from 4 directions.
North: Globeville Landing, Platter River Drive and I-70
South: Gates-Crescent Park @Children's Museum
East: State Capitol
West: Viking Park, Speer and Federal
March begins from all directions at 5:30pm

Saturday, October 11th
Take Back History march and rally
Become part of a historical re-enactment of the invasion of the
Western Hemisphere and a vision of a different future. Meet at the
flagpole on the Auraria campus at 10:00am . March to the State
Capitol to reclaim the truth about history.

Saturday, October 11th
Confront the Columbus Day parade
A "celebration" of colonialism, racism and genocide.
Gather at Lincoln Park (Broadway between Colfax and 14th Avenue) at
1:00pm
