The June 2003 issue, No.48, of EN LA CALLE is out, the organ of
organized anarchism in Argentina. One year since the Avellaneda
massacre. Dario and Maxi - CHILDREN OF THE PEOPLE.
> WOMEN (Editorial)
Women in the factories who, by regaining their labour strength,
discover that they produce more and better without the boss.
Women on the picketlines, breastfeeding our babies while we
build the future.
Women on the streets, occupying abandoned neighborhoods to give
our daughters and our sons the housing they deserve.

Women in the neighborhoods who, like our comrade Susana Abalo
from Rosario, organize against police repression and pay for our
irreverence of being stronger than the terror with torture,
beatings and harassment.

Women in the neighbourhood assemblies who take part and resist,
working day after day with love and effort to drive forward the
projects of one and all.

Women in the homes working without recognition, without pay,
without holidays, when it is not even called "work", just one
more task which is supposed to come naturally to us.

Women in the schools of Entre Ríos who are striking for a decent
wage in order that their sons and daughters do not suffer from
malnutrition (and this is not a turn of phrase, it is a
reality)... And other women, in other schools, who fight hard to
be able to educate without sexism.

Women in the bookstores, in the homes, in the libraries, on the
streets, in the schools, women who unite and plan for action...

Women in the streets uniting and organizing to demand the right
to decide about their own bodies, women who are fighting against
the domination and gender oppression that we suffer as a result
of the sole reason of having different genitals to the males.

Women of the anarchist journals speaking to our sisters and our
comrades about our fights, both large and small.

Women who are everywhere, though some hands continue to busy
themsleves with writing a history which ensures their place and
who try to teach us what we should do with ourselves.

The women of our class will go on as always, and more than ever,
fighting for a really just world, without exploitation and
without oppression.

Listen, then, to our fists striking and pounding down the doors
of each police station that holds our comrades, our class
sisters and brothers. You will hear our throats cry out every
time one of us is beaten, raped or killed in secret having tried
to get rid of an unwanted pregnancy.

And nothing will stop you from hearing us. Because it is this
way, with our bodies, that we write our history.
