The social situation in France is actually a bit special. Since many months,
demos and strikes are "popping" eveywhere, mainly in the public sector and
especially in education secor.

The CNT-AIT Toulouse Local union is actively involved in the strike
movements and the demos that are occuring in the "Rose City" since many
months now.  In the demonstrations, the united libertarian march - at the
initiative of CGA (*) and CNT-AIT - get together usually between 100 and 300
people, shouting for "general strike against Capital".

The 5th of June, the General assemblies of stiking workers and the Unions
decided to block the city : it should be a "dead city". Pickets were
organized at the enter points of the city. But the reactionnary forces can't
accept that, and organized the day before the blockade many provocations
against the strikers, in order to make the blockade degenerate into
violence. They organized a counter-demo, that tried to push the strikers
demo. Also, a truck shouting insultnig slogans against strickers drove all
around the town all the day. The atmosphere tensed up.

In the night between the blockade, our office was vandalized. A placard on
our door claimed "that is what happened to those that are paralysing the
country".

But we won't let anybody intimidate us ! CNT AIT and its militants will
continu to actively participate into general assemblies, strike movements
and demonstrations.

Pension, social security, budget's restriction :
Nothing to negociate, All to reject !

On the day before the Action Day of the 5th of June, Toulouse population may
record many provocative manoeuvres.

While in downtown  a truck, covered with insulting words against strikers,
call to hate against workers, direct violence occured against strikers and
their supports. For instance, our office received a serious damage. This
defacement was claimed by an anonymous anti-strikers placard.

Nobody can be fool about the origin of those awful facts. We can look for it
into the para-etatic trouble agencies, close to employer's milieu, which are
ready to any provocation and to any violence to defeat this movement.
