The Public Meeting in Parkdale on July 27th, 2003 is happening almost one year to
the day when OCAP* and supporters opened the "Pope Squat". And so, we will see fit to
announce our next intention. Eves' legacy is empty buildings and homeless deaths.
To WHOMEVER FORMS THE NEXT GOVERNMENT, we demand that affordable housing be opened
immediately, and put you on notice that action will be taken to ensure that this happens.
Public Meeting & Meal DEFEAT THE EVES GOVERNMENT Sunday July 27 2003 6pm at the Pope Squat, 1510 King St. W.
- Stefan Pilipa: OCAP organizer, Queen's Park "Riot" Trial Defendant
- Member of the Doversquare Tenant's Association
- Perry Sorio: Filipino Workers Support Committee/Philippine Network 4 Justice & Peace

- Member of the Peterborough Coalition Against Poverty

- Lisa Kocsis: Former Pope Squatter, Member of OCAP

Over the past few weeks, OCAP has been disrupting Tory events taking place
in downtown Toronto. Across the province, campaigns are being launched
and people are making ready to take on the Tories wherever they set up.
In the past few days, Ernie Eves has hinted strongly that an election will
take place in the early fall. As his campaign looks set to begin on
August 20, ours will be in full swing.

At this Public Meeting, OCAP will announce and call on people to join in a
strong action on August 23rd - in Toronto's ritzy Yorkville district.
While people go hungry every night in this Province, rich Tory supporters
down thousand dollar bottles of wine and gorge on dinners with price-tags
totalling more than a monthly Ontario welfare cheque. On August 23rd, we
will take over their community, as they trample ours every other day of
the year, and FEED AT THE TORY TROUGH.

Our message the Tories is to the Tories is simple: GET OUT! To whomever
takes their place, we demand that the damage the Tories have done does not
go unrepaired.

Join us in the fight for dignity.
Come to a lively public meeting on July 27th.
