Greetings:
On March 5th WBAI 99.5 FM in New York in conjunction with the Free Radio
Youth collective (producers of ?Student Voices for Peace,? a youth
produced social justice radio show) will be providing extensive and live
coverage of the student strike and national moratorium. The broadcast is
planned for between 3 and 5 PM Eastern Standard Time, with several carts
being made before hand to promote the event, as well as several spots on
various shows.

In order to involve the widest multiplicity of voices and groups engaging
in resistance, we are asking individuals and groups who are involved in
this day to assist us in the following ways:

1. If you are in a group that is planning an action for that day and you
want it covered, please send us information about what yr doing (within
the limits of security culture) to studentstrike@dualpower.net. If you
could include information about press contacts or who could be reached
during the day to do live reporting from the action that would be ideal.
We are hoping to compile a list of individuals who are willing to do live
reporting from actions occurring during the 3 - 5 PM period.

2. Since we cannot hope to have as many groups call in as we would like,
we are asking people to call our voicemail number @ 212-209-2948 and leave
a message answering the following questions clearly and succinctly: what
is your group planning to do on March 5th? Why are you opposed to this war
on Iraq? How will this war affect your community? These messages will be
edited and montaged to be used for sections of our coverage during the
5th. Again, the clearer and more concise you are (and please avoid
cursing, it?s not that we care - but the FCC does) the easier it makes the
process of editing everyone?s amazing ideas and plans into something
inspiring for the radio.

It is especially important that we reach out to more radical and
libertarian leaning groups and individuals that are planning actions for
this day. The US anti-war movement continues to be dominated by sectarian
Marxist groups and front organizations. Often more libertarian leaning
groups find their views and opinion shunned by timid media spokespeople.
Those who are planning direct action worry about cooperating with the
press (mostly due to how often the press screws activists). Coverage like
this enables us to go beyond the coverage of the ?official? rally and
event and to include the plans, actions, and voices of the anarchist
presence in these days of action, which are frequently left out of media
coverage or horribly distorted.

Thanks for your time. We hope to hear from you soon. If we cannot stop
this government from its drive to war, then let us stop all these gears
and levers of our society that allow our government to have the ability to
do so in the first place.

In solidarity and struggle,
stevphen shukaitis

can be made of them, a use that acquires its sense in everyday life . . .
In other words, every revolutionary must at the very least have the
passion to defend his most precious attribute: his passion for individual
realization, his desire to liberate his own everyday life."

"We are going to inherit the earth, there is not the slightest doubt about
that. The bourgeoisie might blast and ruin its own world before it leaves
the stage of history. We carry a new world, here, in our hearts. That
world is growing this minute." -
