ANNEMASSE - AGAINST THEIR LORDSHIPS OF THE G8 : 28 MAY - 3 JUNE 2003
> To resist is to create
In the Year 2074 AS (After Spartacus), the whole of Europe is occupied
by Capitalism. The whole? No, a small village of libertarians is
resisting the invasion. It is resisting the diktats of the
self-proclaimed masters of the world, entrenched in their fortified G8
camp in Evian. And so as not to be accused of useless demonstration or
criticism without alternative proposals, libertarians of all stripes,
organized or not, decided to create a temporary village in order to
experiment self-management on a daily basis. With no chiefs, no gurus,
no masters of thought, they produced out of nothing a self-managed
village which lasted for a week, with its own districts, general
assemblies, areas for debate and information and its own radio. A
village where everyone had their say, where everyone particpated in the
various tasks and chores. Not forgetting the collective organization of
actions and demonstrations against the G8 summit. In this
collectively-produced book, you can re-live the story of the
self-management of this village and read the testimony of its
participants, so that this experience does not fall into oblivion, but
can be a stage in the building of another world, freed from capitalist,
statist, patriarchal alienation.
