Arrested during the protests at the EU summit in
Thessalonika, Greece (June 17-22 2003), the
Thessalonika prisoners were singled out for special
attention from the authorities. Now, despite video
evidence that shows the Greek Police were not above a
constructing evidence
(see http:/italy.indymedia.org/uploads/simon.avi),
seven individuals are awaiting the judgement of the
Greek (in)justice system, which has already failed
them once.
We demand liberty for these individuals and all who
faced the wrath of the state for protesting against
the EU and global capitalism both this summer and
during other anti-capitalist demonstrations.
We demand justice for those who have been set up by
the authorities as scapegoats.

Support the Thessalonika Prisoners!

We need to show our solidarity with the Thessalonika
prisoners. Protests have been held throughout Europe
at Greek Government buildings. You can contribute to
this protest by writing letters of protest to the
Greek Ambassador to Ireland at the following address;

Ambassador Pispinis Ahileas-Vasilios,
1 Upper Pembroke Street, Dublin 2
Tel.: (00353) 01 6767254-5, Fax: 6618892 E-mail:

Simon Chapman was fitted up by Greek police. Assaulted
he had his blue and purple rucksack taken by police.
The police then continued to beat him until he
accepted a black rucksack full of Molotov cocktails.

There are many different ways that we can support
Simon and show our solidarity with the 8 prisoners.

Write to Simon; letters of support can make all the
difference to keep his spirits up as he waits for a
decision from the panel of judges. Knowing that others
are out there thinking about you is vital to remaining
strong while inside. Write letters to:
Simon Chapman
