As some of our readers might know, Simons first appeal was lodged on
July 1st. The first appeal process is on the majority of cases rejected.
It would have been a miracle if the appeal failed. This we were told
from the start so it came as no surprise when we heard that it indeed,
had failed. Almost 45 days of waiting [appeal proccess should take no
more than 30-40 days] for Simon to know what he already knew. With that
the Second appeal process was lodged, this time the Simons counter-evidence
was re-submitted including the video evidence, photos and statements.

We are hoping that this appeal will succeed. It will
not hopefully take as much time as the first appeal and we should know a
result in 3-4 weeks time. In the meantime, Simon and the rest of the
Thessaloniki 7 need a great deal of support and solidarity. Unfortunately
as I write this we have no updates on the appeal processes of the remaining
prisoners. Information is still sketchy and contradictionary, though we
hope to rectify this as soon as we can.

>>Days of International Solidarity - Sept. 20,21,22 , 2003:

A proposal for solidarity days is being discussed at the weekly thessaloniki
prisoner support meetings which happen at 7.30pm, Wednesdays @ Autonomie Club,

>>Benefit gigs and fundraising:

An enormous amount of fundraising have been
happening over the last few months from Raves,
Punk Concerts, Cinema showings, Cafes and Jumble
Sales. Just last week there were 4 benefits in London which raised money for
Thessaloniki prisoner support. The majority of money is sent directly to the
prisoners [each prisoner need £200 a month], as well as photocopying leaflets,
setting up the benefit nights and as emergency fund in case bail is granted.
