coms, today a new web-portal offering a doorway into issues, social movements,
anarchist critiques and anarchist organisations in anglophone africa goes
live. in keeping with our objective to spread anarchist ideas among the
oppressed classes rather than simply to build our own organisation in a
fetishistic way, the site gives access to movements and institutes that are
not specifically anarchist (some of them aligned to us in our social
struggles in southern africa, and others not), but which we believe will be
of interest to anyone wanting to get an inside look at struggles on
anglophone half of the continent. still, the zacf, will be there, as will
its journal "zabalaza" (meaning "struggle") which will cover these issues
for anglophone africa. as part of our bilateral agreement with the
cnt-vignoles at the "other future" anarchist congress in paris in 2000, we
hope to soon host their new journal "afrique xxi" which will cover similar
issues in francophone africa. we hope to eventually host materials in all
the main language blocs. if anyone has any details for anarchist contacts
in africa, please send them to us so we can update the site, which you will
