Oct.9-15th Valencia, Spain
anarchists and anti-fascists face brutal front of ruling class

A mass demonstration against legal fascist party Platform Spain2000
scheduled for the 11th met with harassment first on the 9th when
representatives of private security firm Seguridad Levantina, owned
not coincidentally, by Jose Luis Roberto, fuhrer of Platform Spain,
and the National Police met with the president of a neighborhood
association supportive of the demonstration which immediately withdrew
its support.

The march itself was met with intense police repression and two
arrests for resisting police and failure to show identification.

Over the next three days the repression continued.
On the afternoon of the 12th, two workers setting up a benefit
concert for the anti-fascist organiziing at the occupied social center
PILONA were detained at gun point and taken to police headquarters,
where one was released. The other was held incommunicado for twenty
four hours before being released with an order to return to court.

The morning of the 14th, a joint force of riot police and Seguridad
Levantina raided occupied social center "MALAS PULGAS" and attempted
to forcibly evict the residents, which was delayed by fast legal work
on the part of one of the occupants, but not before the police
confiscated and photographed various material.

On the 15th, four comrades were arrested for allegedly taking violent
direct action against commercial real estate interests in support of
Malas Pulgas. One was badly beaten by the arresting officers.
they have been charged with Illegal Association With Intent to Disturb
the Public Order, punishable by up to fifteen years in prison. good

The police have raided the homes of the four comrades and taken as
evidence pamplets and correspondance.

Two of the arrested are CNT-AIT members, see press releases, in
Spanish, of CNT-AIT.Ofrecida

Solidarity has remained high throughout this ordeal with
demonstrations at the jails and courts, barracades and press
conferences by syndicalist and occupied social center speakers, as
well as family members of the arrested.
A mass action against repression has been called for Oct 25.
