Listen to an interview with Montreal based activist, writer and anarchist
Jaggi Singh recorded live on CKUT Radio in Montreal on December 16th. The
interview was recorded shortly after Jaggi won an appeal filed by Israeli
lawyer Shamai Leibowitz, against the illegal deportation order issued by
Israeli authorities upon Jaggi?s arrival into Israel on December 14th.

Jaggi is officially allowed to stay in Israel for 7 days, until the 23rd
of December and is now able to travel throughout Israel, but has been
barred from the Palestinian Territories by Israeli authorities, a
decision, which according to Canadian and International Law is illegal.
Israel has no has absolutely no authority over the Palestinian Territories
and cannot decide who is allowed entry and who is not. Already criticism
is growing throughout the world on the ruling given to Jaggi.

Jaggi Singh spent 2 days in detention at Ben-Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv
fighting his deportation from Israel with support from many Israeli peace
activists and international solidarity activists. The interview looks at
Jaggi?s fight against the deportation and the precedent, which the
District Court ruling in Tel Aviv will set for international solidarity
activists traveling to Israel & Palestine. The interview also looks at the
details of the appeal, which was heard in the Supreme Court of Israel in
Jerusalem and the District Court of Tel Aviv.

Israeli authorities efforts to stop Jaggi Singh from entering Israel to
witness and report on the realities of the occupation, clearly points to
growing efforts by the Israeli State to silence international activists
with organizations such as the International Solidarity Movement from
speaking out against the injustices of the occupation. On Sunday two
Palestinian teenage sisters were seriously wounded as Israeli Army
demolished seven houses in the Gaza Strip, these are the types of
realities, which Jaggi Singh traveled to Israel to report on, act against
and expose to the world.

As Jaggi begins his trip in Israel, supporters who look forward to reading
his reports from the occupied territories can pressure reluctant DFAIT
officials at the Canadian embassy in Tel Aviv and in Ottawa to intervene
with Israeli authorities to fight against the illegal decision of the
District Court of Tel Aviv to deny Jaggi entry into the Occupied
