War is looming, with implicit backing by Canada and
other states. In response, increasingly diverse and
hopeful anti-war movements grow. This call goes to all
who are a part of those movements, or who have been
watching with interest.

In November, thousands protested the war, and
thousands have also organized with friends and
communities numerous creative actions that break the
mould of protest and directly confront the war. There
are as many ways to oppose war as there are people
touched by it.

If you are committed to: the concrete denial of power to
the war-machine; countering the racism that feeds it;
and organizing openly & accountably, diversely,
dynamically, and creatively, please join us:

We are told that war is now constant, everywhere,
endless.

But war that is everywhere targets itself. In being
everywhere, it has picked as its enemy the whole of life
on earth and has taken up as its nemesis the history
and future of the struggle of that life to continue as life.
To a war that is constant, resistance is infinite.

We are told that the only road to freedom is through a
civilization based on warfare and strife. The Earth has a
dire need that we show the alternative we feel... a road
to freedom through a vital hunger for co-operation,
passionately championed equality, and a healthy thirst
for dissent and transformation.

We are all, in some way, the target of war. We are also
its undoing.

Some of us, however, are more targetted than others,
and we must all find our own ways to extricate our lives
from the web of the warbeast so that we might stop
feeding it. A creature of hate must be countered
with joy, and the chilling uniformity and spiritual death
it seeks to defend must be shaken with vital rage.

A society of constant war is the ultimate act of
destruction... the resistance we now seek to mount
must find its strength in the ultimate process of
creation.
