(en) Italian Anarchist movement against next Genoa G8

On June 9th, 1000 comrades from all over the country demonstrated in Genoa,
against the next july G8. It’s been a pacific demonstration, underlining the anarchist
movement’s autonomy inside the campaign against G8. Red & Black flags with the
words "We are the masters of nothing, we are no-one’s slaves, we walk on towards
the future" opening the demonstration. Many comrades stopped by police outside the
town (something like a general test before july days).

June 23rd: first Libertarian Alternative Fest by FdCA, and debate about G8 and
globalisation with speakers representing different positions inside the Genoa
movement against G8.

July 14th: local anarchist demonstrations everywhere it’s possible. FdCA will organise
a Global Tour crossing the globalized places (banks, supermarkets, bookshops,
rent-a-job agencies, and so on) in the towns.

July 20-21: anarchist presence in Genoa;

July 20: general strike claimed by the base-unions and libertarian block inside the
demonstration organised by the workers and their unions.

Possible platformist presence:

  1.italian/english/french/spanish leaflet during the july 20 demo

  2.platformist comrades meeting

at present Genoa seems to be unfit for a platformist meeting without security
problems; so we are considering 2 options: Florence on july 19th (by our local
branch), or Genoa on july 20, but outside the town; anyway it seems there will be a lot
of trouble with trains, bus, highway exits and….airport, beginning from july 16th, so it
will be not so easy to land in Genoa.

We’ll let you know something as soon as possible.
