20 of the people arrested in the demonstration of June 21 in Thessaloniki
passed from public prosecutor and interogator today (Tuesday June 24).
Although they were not accused for felonies until today, the interogator
decided to charge them with felonies, as possession and use of explosives.
The 19 were released, while some of them (still unclear if it is 8 of 5)
have to pay 1.500 euros each. The 20th, a Spaniard will go to prosecutor
again tomorrow because there was not a translator today.
Tomorrow (Wednesday June 25), 7 more persons already accused for felonies
will go to Thessaloniki prosecutor. The state media are being hysteric about
a basque comrade who they present as "instigator" and as wanted by the
Interpol and they speak about possibility to extradict him.
Two more persons -a French boy and an Italian girl- who were arrested on
Sunday after the police attacked the solidarity demonstration will be on
All the arrested, locals and internationals have been tortured during arrest
and while in custody by greek police and riot police.
