Wed Oct 12 09:13:00 GMT 2011
Last week, the salafist gang was allowed to burn and loot a church in Aswan province for
five hours, together with the houses of some Christians. In response, Christians in Cairo,
joined by many Muslims, came out to peacefully stage a vigil outside the State TV in
Maspero Street. The official response was brutal: they sent armoured trucks to run over
the people wantonly (as shown in video footage) while shooting live ammunition at
protestors. Also, the army forcefully shut down TV25 an...
(en) US, Anarkismo.net: Build on the Anarchist and Revolutionary Potentialities of the Occupy Wall Street Movement. by C. Alexander
Wed Oct 12 09:02:34 GMT 2011
FROM OCCUPATION TO EXPROPRIATION! ---- We should strive to convince the movement that the
problem in the US today is not just Wall Street or the corporations or the fact that the
economic system is somehow being “gamed” or “rigged” by tricky selfish individuals. We
need to explain that the cause of the crisis is the capitalist system itself, a system in
which production is carried on only when it results in profits, the vast majority of which
go to the tiny ...

thousand people shifted by evening to a static gathering in downtown Portland. After weeks

A movement is born. Across America and around the world occupations have spread. We
witness the beauty and struggle of a new protagonist joining the fight against oppression
and exploitation. ---- Crisis feeds conflict: the pillaging of communities galvanizes
people from Greece and Chile, Bangladesh and China, the United States and Spain. A massive
wave has been unleashed of impoverishment, unemployment, austerity, and stealing of
resources by capital, governments, and the wealthy. We ...
