(nl) Polen, Verzoek om hulp van Arbeiders Initiatief* - vervolging van vakbondsactivist [en]
a-infos-nl@ainfos.caBeste vrienden, hieronder staat informatie over anti-vakbonds activiteit
tegen onze kameraden van Arbeiders Initiatief. De oproep voor acties en
financiële hulp, als hun commissie in het bedrijf Impel (beveiliging en
schoonmaak diensten) werd in feite gedwarsboomd door illegale ontslagen.
Hier in Polen zullen we waarschijnlijk wat doen, maar er is ook het
verzoek om internationale hulp. 
 
Een suggestie: misschien zou het een goed idee zijn een kameraad van
Arbeiders...

To the press and the public opinion, Militarism is at work again. The Board
Member of the Istanbul Branch of Human Rights Association and the Conscientious
Objector Halil Savda was arrested at çorlu, where he had gone to attend his
trial. The justification for the arrest is the suspicion that he would escape.
Actually, this is nothing but a cover that hides facts: 
Halil is in the prison now, because he rejected an activity which crushes with
his will and his conscience. They ...

SIPTU estimates that almost a third of workers in UCD are ‘fixed term
workers’. The university also made a number of them redundant over the
summer, including one who had been working for the college since 1981.
All of this is part of a trend in universities (and in other workplaces)
to replace permanent staff with contract workers. For example, two years
ago there were 21 permanent staff in the exams office but today there
