If in certain cases, wearing the veil signifies the domination of the
young woman within her family, is it the vocation of the
revolutionary Left to contribute to the accumulated forms of
domination used against high school students denied their right to
education? The problem of what position to take on religion
remains. While the atheist credo is legitimate, compulsively
reaffirming that fact everywhere serves a little too opportunely the
extreme-Right's stra...

Saturday May 28th members of the activist community gathered at Riverpark
in Fresno around 6pm for Infoshop. Before the action even started members
of the collective were greeted by security enforcing the "no sitting on
the ground" rule. The security guards were already giving the collective
members the look that says "Looks like you're up to no good".
After a space was selected, just to the right of the theater, the
collective members started to...

Tens of inhabitants of Bil'in villagers with activists of the Anarchists
Against The Wall initiative, and internationals, demonstrated this morning
against the apartheid fence robing most of the land of the village.
The demonstrators brought with them a metal construction model of wall on which
was written in English, Arabic, and Hebrew: "The wall over our dead bodies".
They chained themselves to it in order to hinder the building of the fence. The army
Although events from Minneapolis Anti-Racist Action have been
far between, there have been a significant few. Last summer ARA
teamed up with the Lesbian Avengers and the Housman
Community Center Gay-Strait Alliance to tussle with the prudes
from "Love Won Out". This is the movement that attempts to
'cure' queer people of the gay disease that hedonistic ways have
spread. We were able to infiltrate their workshops, execute banner
The Conquest of Bread
This book isn't new in any bookshop: it first appeared 1892, and
was based on a series of articles written by P. Kropotkin, then a
leading figure of the anarchist movement, for the French
revolutionary press during the 1880s. It has been influential as few
others have, and despite having been written more tha...
