AGE OLD FIGHT
Last month the government presented its report on what has become known as “the
pensions crisis”. The report was widely touted as being a balanced look at what
is wrong with the pensions system and how it should be “fixed”, despite the
report’s author, Adair Turner, being the ex-head of the bosses union -
the CBI. The report was the latest in a steady campaign intended to
soften us up to accept attacks on our wages through increases in
mandatory p...

The second SCOTTISH DISSENT meeting took place in Perth,(SCOTLAND)
on the 20th November, from 2pm till 5pm. This meeting was open to
everyone and took place at the TWA TAMS on Scott St. There was 100%
disabled access, but again if you were bringing a dog they had to be
left outside. There was a range of topics to discuss and voices were
heard. There was no charge, but the pub sold some good local beers and wines.
More than a dozen present. in the Twa Tams, Perth
...

A person who identify with the anarchist movement say an attack on the
state Republican Party headquarters building three days after the
general election was a statement against the political system.
Three people were arrested and charged with felony damage. The
suspects, who were bailed out of the Wake County Jail after
money was raised with an Internet appeal, face a Monday hearing.
David Blunkett's recent self-comparisons with Josephine
Butler are disgusting. Josephine Butler was a compassionate
woman who campaigned against the criminalisation of sex
workers and the segregation of prostitute women away from their
sisters. Blunkett's policies have been nothing but punitive,
and have made sex workers more vulnerable to violence and exploitation.
Blunkett brought us Anti-Social Behaviour Orders against sex
workers and clients, resulting in p...

12. WSM: "The tactic of armed struggle, as carried out by the
Republicans was never capable of achieving a solution as it was
incapable of delivering a military victory over the British army. In
addition the British ruling class cares little for the deaths of
individual soldiers in its army. Furthermore a 'commercial
bombing campaign' will always, whether deliberately or not, cause
civilian casualties and heighten sectarian tensions.
This pamphlet has been written in response to the updating of the
WSM's position paper "The Partition of Ireland" which was
amended at a WSM national meeting in July 2004. It is just that, a
response, reflecting the broad range of concerns of members of
Organise! with the WSM position paper, it is not a full account of
our thoughts or position in relation to the situation in the north of
Ireland. Organise! welcome the fact that, over some period of time<br...

Nearly a year has past since the first Anarchist People of Color
Conference in Detroit. So where are we as people of color who identify
as anarchists, anti-authoritarians, agitators, autonomous, etc.?
When I look at the past few months of my life, I realize that as a
participant in last year's conference as an organizer and a co-author of
a network proposal, that being an anarchist/anti-authoritarian (fill in
the blank "a") person of color is probably more...
