Shut The G8 group, part of the national Dissent! network, are 
opening the 23TOPIA squat to the public on Friday June 4. 
And from June 8 to 12 they are planning a Festival of Resistance 
to coincide with the G8 summit in the USA. 
Explained a spokesperson for the group: "Next year the G8 will

today (wednesday) in Avcilar, we have collected 
food to share in front of Taksim McDonalds on 
5th of June, Saturday. While collecting, we have 
handed out our leaflets, and got great support 
from the people, especially from tradesmen.. we 
have filled 3 cases + 2 huge bags with lots of 
vegetables... about 30-40 people can be feeded 
... Not only in Avcilar, in many places of Istanbul 
volunteers are continu...

günü Taksim McDonald's önünde paylaşmak üzere 
yiyecek topladık.. Toplama sırasında, ellerimizdeki 
bildirileri dağıttık, ve özellikle halktan ve 
esnaftan büyük destek gördük.. 3 kasa + 2 koca 
çantayı bir sürü sebzeyle doldurduk...yaklaşık 30-40 
kişi doyabilir ...Yalnızca Avcılar değil, 
İstanbul'un birçok yerinde gönüllüler paylaşmak 
üzere yiyecek toplamayı sürdürüyor. Özellikle 
esnaflardan da gelen deste...

Hi everybody, T. from the Anarchist Bookfair in London here. 
Last week we found out that ULU (where we held the bookfair last 
year and will be holding it again this year) has mucked up our 
booking for this years Anarchist Bookfair. They had us down for 
the 16th October - not the 23rd October. They also couldn't change 
the error to give us the 23rd. As we didn't want the bookfair on the 
same weekend as the European Social Forum (which is happening in
