Né le 19 mai 1904, Daniel Guérin est issu d'une famille de la grande 
bourgeoisie libérale et dreyfusarde. Il entame une carrière littéraire au 
début des années 20. Ses voyages au Liban (1927-1929), puis en Indochine 
(1929-1930) l'amènent à prendre conscience de l'oppression coloniale et à 
adhérer aux idées socialistes. 
C'est également sa «dissidence sexuelle» (c'est ainsi qu'il nomme son 
homosexualité ou plutôt sa bissexualité) qui l'amènent à militer pour une

Fabel-spreekster op heksennacht 
 
Op woensdag 19 mei 2004 vindt in Amsterdam opnieuw de jaarlijkse 
heksennacht plaats. Een van de toespraken tijdens de - alleen voor 
vrouwen 
bestemde - tocht zal gehouden worden door Fabel-medewerkster Inge 
van de 
Velde. Voor de demonstratie wordt om 21:00 uur verzameld in Het 
Gespuis, 
Spuistraat 47-a, Amsterdam.

Vandaag, zondag 25 april [de "Bevrijdingsdag" van Italië - vert.], hield 
"Resistenza Antifascista", een netwerk dat verschillende groepen en 
individuen die betrokken zijn bij militant anti-fascisme omvat, om 9.00 
uur een demonstratie met het uitdelen van pamfletten tot de start van 
de officiële herdenkingsceremonie. Veel mensen deden met ons mee 
toen we demonstreerden, mensen die ons anti-fascisme delen, 
waardoor het aantal steeg tot ongeve...

DESCENT INTO BARBARISM 
Many images flash through my mind as I look at the photographs that have 
found their way into the public domain from Abu Ghraib in Baghdad. What I 
find most disturbing is not that naked hooded men are being used as human 
Lego by their tormentors but that the men and woman playing with their human
