(en) Greece, Information on the 400+ Athens anarchists solidarity march with Kurdish resistance and self-organization

With a march of solidarity in resistance and self-organization of Kurdish areas and opposition in the military operations of the Turkish security forces ended in Athens (Saturday 13/2) the Joint Action Week , which was scheduled to take place from 6 to 13 February. ---- In the process involved over 400 anarchists / libertarian . The march started from Monastiraki, transferred from Omonia Square and the junction of Patission and Stadiou streets found in front of a wall of squads of riot police. ---- Finally, the course became possible to continue on the Stage and, through Pesmatzoglou route to reach Propylaea . The police did not allow the march to reach as the Constitution , where there would be encountered the course of Kurdish and Turkish fighters, which arrived from Agia Paraskevi . And this path was cut from the police but was possible to approach the constitution of bypass roads.

After the end of the course, larger or smaller groups of comrades reached the Constitution by meeting the path of Turkish and Kurdish fighters and then marched together to T ourkiki Embassy . At the intersection of Vas. Sofias and Rigilis, progress halted by riot police.

In Joint Action Week participating groups and initiatives from nine cities of Greece, conducting meetings, speeches and other forms of action. This week showed the interest and the desire for practical international solidarity of a large part of the anarchist / libertarian throughout Greece.
