December 14, 2009 09:30 - The main planned actions for today include a Tar Sands protest 
at the Canadian Embasy at 9.30am and the "No Borders! No Climate Refugees!” Day of Action, 
with protestors meeting at 11am Israel Plads, Vesterbrogade, before marching to the Danish 
Ministry of Defence at Holmenskanal 42. ---- December 14, 2009 10:55 - More reports from 
Christiania saying that there is massive police presence outside. Barricades now set on 
fire. Police trying to enter. ---- December 14, 2009 11:30 - There are around 400 people 
already gathered at the starting point of the No Borders demonstration with more people 
arriving. There is a police presence. The situation is calm.  ---- December 14, 2009 11:40 
- People still arriving. There is a sound system playing music [video].

December 14, 2009 12:15 - The crowd is carrying banners reading: 'For food, sovereignty 
and global freedom of movement', 'No one is illegal', 'Refugees, migrant workers shut down 
fortress Europe'. The protest is starting to move.


December 14, 2009 12:27 - No Borders march reached N?rreport Station. The march has been 
doing a spot of jogging to confuse the police a bit. The police are walking with and in 
the march, but all is okay [video] noborders cop15

December 14, 2009 12:50 - March has reached Gothersgade passing the European Union PR 
office [video], following that the march is now in a street with cars either side, 
therefore the cars are between the march and the police.  noborders cop15

December 14, 2009 12:55 - No borders march proceeding down Gothersgade in an easterly 
direction.  People chanting "No borfers, no nations. Stop the portations" and everyone on 
the edges of the march have linked arms together on the front and sides of the march to 
form a solid block.  There are about 700 people in the march.  Turning down Chr IX'S Gade 
[video]

December 14, 2009 13:00 - Police rushed crowd. After stopping, the demo continues towards 
de Ministry of Defence [video], but with police cordons on both sides of the street.

December 14, 2009 13:32 - Demo arrived at the Ministry of Defence. 300 police with armored 
cars in front of the building. All traffic is blocked.

December 14, 2009 13:50 - Speeches are being held by the canal. Bike powered sound system 
on the bridge [video]

December 14, 2009 13:55 - Demo leaves Ministry towards slotsplads. Police starts wearing 
helmets. White police vans with mobile barricades to be folded out were seen on slotsplads.

December 14, 2009 14:00 - In Slotplads the No Borders demonstrators succeded in 
unteathering the large orange baloon advertising the COP15 process [video] The police 
struggled to keep it tied down, but it got liberated.  The police then moved in and the 
crowd dispersed.

December 14, 2009 14:20 - Crowd at vindebrogade. Police with dogs blocking the street 
before stormbroen bridge. First attacking with the dogs, now not any more [video] People 
are free to move, in the back no police with helmets nor dogs. 300 to 400 people plus 
soundsystem. Police got the balloon.

December 14, 2009 14:25 - Police seen moving in from the bridge in the back. Kettle feared.

December 14, 2009 15:05 - Demo turning into Prinsessegade, moving towards Chrstiania with 
a lot of riot police behind them [tumblepic | tumblevid]

December 14, 2009 14:30 - People run at Holmens Bro bridge/ Slotsplads.

December 14, 2009 14:35 - Some of the crowd who followed the baloon to Vindebrogade got 
trapped there by a police kettle.  The police got out dogs, whom some protestors try to 
pet.  No attacks from dogs, but the police then ripped the baloon to shreds [pic] There 
are a group of Italians trapped there still, separated from the main block.

December 14, 2009 14:37 - People broke through the kettle near to the museum and ran 
towards slotsplads. Main body of demo dancing in front of the parliament. More police 
being brought in, but the crowd ist not immediately surrounded.

December 14, 2009 14:50 - Some people are being kettled and pushed around.

December 14, 2009 14:55 - Main body of crowd moved along Børsgade and then crossed Knippel 
Bro onto Torvsgade.  Crurrently situated at junction with Wildersgade.  There are many 
police (40+ vans) moving behind the demo from Slotsplads direction and the demo is 
surrounded at the sides as well, but not the front.

December 14, 2009 15:14 - March has proceeded to Christiania and the police have left. 
People very happy and a lot are going to stay in Christiania, perhaps until the Reclaim 
Power party this evening.

December 14, 2009 19:45 - Naomi Klein and Tadzio Müller have been speaking to a largely 
attended CJA-party in Christiania. Michael Hardt is due to talk in a while.cop15 cja

December 14, 2009 22:40 - On Princessegade in Christiania there are barricades being 
built. A large police presence with the water cannon. The police are stopping and 
searching people and threatening them.

December 14, 2009 23:25 - Party at Christianina is being raided. Entrances blocked with 
police, vans and dogs. No one allowed inside. Police stated this may take some hours 
before allowing people in or out.

December 14, 2009 23:40 - Initial reports stated that Christiania was being stormed by the 
police, seems it is more of an incur
sion into the first blocks. Confirmed that police have raided at least one bar inside 
Christiania. Some arrests made.

December 14, 2009 23:45 - Teargass fired at entrance to Christiania and police coming in 
through the back.
