A-Infos (en) Sweden, SAC* adopted a new statement of principles

SAC's current Congress, which brings together 39 representatives from 25 local 
Confederation.  The first day's proceedings at SAC syndicalists Congress in Småland 
Holsbybrunn kick-start on Saturday with a minor surprise: A completely reformulated 
statement of principles was adopted even before lunch. ---- To SAC's previous Congress 
2006, a Declaration of Principles Committee worked for a long time, including through 
surveys of the local confederation concerned and a comprehensive consultation.  Yet the 
proposal fell on Congress. ---- To this year's conference were two individual motions for 
new declarations of principle. ---- After a relatively short debate, Congress approved the 
proposal as written by Luke Granberg from Stockholm LS, by qualified majority.
   Virtually all messages supported Granberg's proposal, although comments were that it 
was "pompous".  Author himself said that he failed the language inspired by the IWW - 
Industrial Workers of the World - powerful preamble of the 1905th  But the proposal (see 
next article) is also based heavily on the draft declaration of principles was rejected

  Sabina Wallner, representatives of the Stockholm LS and a member of the then Statement 
of Principles Committee, said in the debate:
   - Luke Granberg's proposal very similar to our proposal.  It interprets the mood, the 
will and direction that we as trade unionists are now, just as Statement of Principles 
Committee did then.  That the proposal does not raise so much debate now may simply be 
because it has set itself.
   Luke Granberg itself, which is one of three congressional chairman, summed up.
   - I hope it is as Sabina says that the issue is ready discussed.  I think that a new 
statement of principles is very important.  We deny ourselves an ideological guidance 
unless we have a document we can refer to that clarify what we, as union leaders are doing 
and why, and where we are going somewhere.
  Congress began this morning with an opening speech by Örjan Bergsten from Gothenburg LS, 
a Tribute of Congress during the period from deceased friends and greetings from the 
international guests, who represented the CGT in Spain, the CNT in France and the IWW in 
the UK.

SAC's new statement of principles

SAC's new statement of principles, adopted by Congress on the first day, was inspired by 
the Industrial Workers of the World. Here is the whole:

1.  World work exploited in the capitalist profit-driven production system.  Under 
capitalism, a few monopolized the means of production.  They have, therefore, universal 
power to acquire all the wealth created.  At the same time we are forced, the overwhelming 
majority, to work without power over the business and to a salary which does not 
correspond to the value of what we produce.  Where capitalism is allowed havoc resulting 
from violence and destruction in its wake, as well as a ruthless exploitation of natural 
resources that threatens the human environment and living conditions worldwide.  From 
these circumstances arises the class struggle, in which the workers can only rely on their 
own actions.

2nd  SYNDICALISM is primarily not an ideology but a struggle tradition among workers.  We 
are driven by our desire for freedom and socialism.  We are in a dream that one day be an 
end to wage slavery.  By building up the industrial workers' organizations, with
   workplace as a starting point, we can mitigate the effects of capital's exploitation 
and state coercion, in order to finally overcome this inhumane economic and political 
system which gives all the good things in life for developers.
  3rd  DESPITE the working class today, as well as in history, is layered and fragmented 
in many ways, for example by industry, occupation, legal status, gender, ethnicity, age, 
wage forms, employment status, and employment rates, mean SAC that all workers have basic 
common interests .  Therefore, SAC consists of the Local Union Confederation (LS) that 
organize all workers regardless of industry affiliation.  When all workers have common 
interests are also needed an organization that brings together all workers.  Through our 
organization do we combat divisions within the working class and increasing our collective 
clout.  If we work to keep together requires us to act in solidarity.  SAC perceive 
solidarity as a common struggle for common interests.
  4th  Exploitation of the working takes different forms depending on where in the social 
hierarchy of work or workers are located.  Heavily exploited groups of workers are 
employed to lower the standards of more established working groups and
   migrants and the unemployed who used lönenedpressare.  Women's work is often valued 
less than men.
   This affects the workers' mutual relationships in the workplace and creating tensions 
within the working class.  Heavily exploited group interests will be decisive impact in 
the fight.  No form of discrimination or subordination can be tolerated.  SAC is a 
feminist and anti-racist organization.
  5th  IN SAC, we believe unreservedly in the working class, that is our own strength and 
skill.  We do not need the blessing of power to give legitimacy to our fight or justify 
our existence.  We know that neither the libertarian socialism or organization may be 
possible if we do not believe in our own ability.  SAC believes that the workers must 
organize themselves free from any outside interests as expressed by the Heads of State and 
arbetsköparmakten.  SAC is an anti-authoritarian organization and see direct action as the 
means to change society and our living and working conditions.
  6th  OUR GEAR POWER BASED in the way we organize ourselves.  For a trade union to 
achieve maximum effectiveness, it must be free from any interests outside members.  In 
order to achieve maximum impact force, the union organized federalist, which means 
self-determination in their own affairs and cooperation on common issues.  Centralism, 
bureaucracy, the ombudsman and other authoritarian forms of organization weakens unions. 
Our inner strength derived from the principle that those affected by a decision should 
also be those who have taken it, and that all elected representatives are directly 
dismissal only.  To avoid disruption in the workplace, and between professional groups
   labor, have a powerful trade union to be organized.  Organized professional unions are 
an anachronism.  A powerful trade union must also choose to fight.  A powerful trade union 
should also like to win their battles.
  7th  The production of goods and services workers the power needed to change society. 
Working class community power is latent in the process.  That is why our work's premier 
venue for the organization.  Labor market which provides a framework for workplace 
struggle, must also be a battle arena.
  8th  WE HAVE NO NATIVE WORKERS, our living conditions are intertwined with the sisters 
and brothers throughout the world.  Global solidarity is a prerequisite for working class 
liberation.  SAC is opposed to all the violence that governmental and supranational 
institutions and paramilitary groups in order to maintain the capital's world order.  SAC 
believes that the worker always has the right to defend itself against such violence.
  9th  SAC's goal is libertarian socialism: a society that is no longer divided into 
dominant and dominated classes; a society that no longer consists of exploiters and 
exploited, a society free from governmental compulsion.  The libertarian socialist govern 
society's needs of production, giving work meaning.  The workers control of production 
organization, which gives the work content.
  10th  We have a big task ahead of us.  But we know we can organize and win victories. 
We are fighting on its own merits, our struggle is where we live our lives, so simple and 
so obvious it is.  Only so can the self-responsible development that is provided free of 
socialism.

  New tactics statement, more kongressombud for large LS and clarification of the

far on the SAC's Congress. But the Central Committee's recommendation on the requirement 
for LS to prevent "solidarity crimes" was dismissed.

- It's a myth that there is an inherent conflict between small and large LS, I hope that 
this discussion could die out once and for all, "said Elisabeth Skoglund from Malmö LS and 
the AU.
   A lot of the posts made during Sunday's negotiations was devoted to the issue of 
democracy and representation on the SAC's congresses, and here were two principles against 
each other.  Should the ability to affect mainly rely on any LS or should the large, by 
virtue of its many members, have more to say?
   - There is a federalist principle that all LS units are equal, a principle that we are 
already in the current situation waived when it is time for Congress.  Today's principle 
can be an acceptable compromise, "said Anna Fröding from Uppsala LS.
   As it stands today, each LS to send a representative in each begun tvåhundratal 
members.  The current draft of CK was lower boundary of the voting rights to one hundred 
members, which thus favors large and medium-sized LS.

motions.  It was proposed to clarify the obligations of the LS and the basis on which 
exclusion is possible.  Besides the lack of payment of contributions to SAC, district and 
syndicate CK inter alia, an obligation to "prevent crime solidarity" from LS page.
   - It's very unclear what is meant by such a vague formulation - it is not good enough 
to be included in the statutes, "said Carl-Johan Schenström from Gothenburg LS.
   Other speakers noted the importance of finding the statutes to strike-breaking and the 
like are not permitted, but the relevant part of the motion was rejected by kong traveler.
  Earlier in the Congress had also including the organization adopted a new tactic 
statement, which held that the SAC's battle tactics are "unpredictable" and that "no 
panacea exists."  From the arsenal is mentioned among other things, rapid strikes, 
blockades, boycotts, fighting on the inside, more well-planned strikes, and - in response 
to lock-outs - to take out their "working in solidarity strike".
