Since 1970, Native Americans have gathered at noon on Cole's
Hill in Plymouth to commemorate a National Day of Mourning
on the US thanksgiving holiday. Many Native Americans do not
celebrate the arrival of the Pilgrims and other European settlers.
Thanksgiving day is a reminder of the genocide of millions of
Native people, the theft of Native lands, and the relentless assault
on Native culture. It is a day of remembrance and spiritual con-
nection as well as a protest of the racism and oppression which
Native Americans continue to experience. 39th National Day Of
Mourning. 12 Noon, Cole's Hill (the hill above Plymouth Rock)

November 11th
The Chicago Haymaret Martyrs
In 1886, immigrant and working class an-
archists were instrumental in the movement
for the 8-hour day, holding the first May
Day on May 1st. When police killed 4 strik-
ing workers, the anarchists responded with
a meeting on May 4th. 200 cops attacked
the meeting, shooting 7 of their own and
countless workers. Someone threw a bomb
killing 1 cop and wounded several others.
8 prominent anarhists, many not present at
the rally, were framed and arrested and 5
were executed on November 11th 1886, for
the crime of being anarchists. Learn more

What is Anarchism?
Anarchism is the theory and practice of a human society or-
ganizing without hierarchy, authority and oppression. This
means that all people have equal access to the decision-mak-
ing process and to the products of their collective labor. Anar-
chy can be described as true, direct democracy. It is horizon-
tal: i.e. workers working together without bosses, neighbors
organizing housing and neighborhoods without landlords,
and people making decisions without politicians. There are
many different ideas on how to get there and what exactly it
will look like. We can talk all we want, but only a truly free
and revolutionary people will be able to decide what their
revolution will look like. So comrades, let's get to work!
