(en) Poland, Workers initiative: Mobilization on the increase of wages of local government employees [machine translation]

Date Thu, 21 Dec 2017 10:57:22 +0200

Information to all members of our unions and employees ---- In reference to the findings of all trade union structures (NSZZ "Solidarnosc", OPZZ, ZNP, Employee Initiative) conducting payroll negotiations regarding wage increases of local government employees employed in plants and budgetary units and cultural institutions of the City of Poznan, we inform that: ---- 1. This year's negotiations ended fiasco ---- 2. Despite earlier assurances that the postulates are rational and fully justified, the President, instead of PLN 400 for basic salary, proposed PLN 100 gross, or about PLN 68 per hand. ---- In connection with the above, the following activities have been planned: ---- 1. All employees of budgetary units (including schools and facilities) and cultural institutions (affiliated and non-affiliated in trade unions) are asked to come to Kolegiacki Square in Poznan (in front of the City Hall) on December 18, 2017 at 13.30 to present to the President our position regarding the effects of this year's negotiations and employee expectations.

2. We expect that President Jacek Jaskowiak will personally and respond to our position expressed in writing.

3. We will ask the Councilors of our city, asking them to rectify the mistakes of the President and plan the funds for the implementation of the increases in accordance with earlier arrangements.

4. Depending on the reaction of the President, we will make decisions about our further actions.

We meet on 18.12 (Monday) at 13:30 Under the Town Hall
