the world as we know it... and we're not fine ---- Quote Of The Month ---- Quote Of The
Month ---- SOMETIMES NOT OFTEN, mind - we here at Mutineer H.Q. feel the need to tip our
hats to someone in position of authority. This month, we doff our caps to Jon Gnarr, the
awesomely named mayor of Reykjavik, Iceland, who has been spotted modelling a daring dress
and pink balaclava in solidarity with imprisoned Russian punks Pussy Riot. When asked to
address a gay pride rally in Paris, like all good speeches, Gnarrâs was brief and to the
point. Taking aim at gayÂ-bashers, he said âHomophobia isnât a phobia. Homophobics arenât
scared, theyâre just assholes!â. Couldnât haveput it better ourselves!

WHAT WE BELIEVE
Here at The Westcountry Mutineer, itâs not all about cider and muckÂflinging.
There are a few important principles that guide the paper â we see society as
being divided into two basic classes, workers and bosses. We believe that the
luxury and wealth of the bosses is only gained through the exploitation of the
workers, and that workers should be entitled to the full value of what they
produce. Politicians of whatever party only serve to protect the interests of their
mates in big business. We believe that the ordinary people should, and have the
ability to, abolish oppressive institutions such as government and capitalism
and run society on its own, without the interference of bosses, politicians or any
other selfÂappointed âleadersâ. We struggle for a world in which communities are
run exploitation by the residents, or class and systems workplaces in which run
resources by the workers are produced â a world andwithout shared
equally and responsibly, not hoarded by a greedy few. Sound good to you?
If yes, then baby, youâre an anarchist!

An affinity group for those in our region with an interest in anarchism, syndicalism or
direct action, who share our goal of building a stateless, classless society around the
principles of libertarian socialism.
Class struggle anarchism has never been more relevant or credible, owing to the abject
failure of capitalism and representative democracy, or state âcommunistâ bureaucracies to
meet the needs of the people. Surely now every other ideology is discredited. We aim to
promote our ideas by constantly challenging the narrative of governments and the corporate
media.
Members of all other antiâauthoritarian, antiâcapitalist groups are welcome. We hope to
work with all these groups in solidarity; we differ only in tactics and thatâs good; the
bourgeoisie wonât know who hit them or with what!
Our emphasis is on supporting workersâ struggles locally and globally, fighting
inequality, oppression and fascism.
